Congratulations to Kim Bachmann for winning our EdTech Blogging Contest!
This webpage has all of the latest information. Typically, if they get your name in time (I have sent them in), you may get a schedule and parking info. by mail. If not, here's what I know…
They open at 8 AM for light breakfast. The headquarters is in the Copley Science Building on the Randolph-Macon campus. You can park on the street; also look for signs for additional parking.
The conference locations vary by session, between the Copley building, to the library, and the auditorium.
You can choose the sessions yourself. If you want one of the workshops, they require a ticket (first come, first serve). Otherwise, look-over the conference program when you get there, and choose the sessions of best interest to you.
I wanted to encourage you to apply for our scholarship program. Inspiration Software will award 25 educators with $1,000 scholarships that can be used to purchase technology for the classroom. All you have to do is share information about your best InspireData project and submit a couple of examples. It will only take 10 minutes. I hope you will apply!
The deadline for entry is Feb. 1, so please apply soon!
This latest news about MySpace is symptomatic of a larger concern I have about privacy.

Voice Thread is a cool website that you can use to create what I call “interactive presentations,” including still pictures and video.
In this podcast, I explore how teachers might use VoiceThread and what the possibilities are for using it in and outside the classroom.
I do hope you can watch!
Sadly, we did not win the Promethean ActivClassroom video contest sponsored by Promethean USA.
But the award-winning videos are a great showcase of what's cool about the ActivClassroom!
Today I published two new video podcasts:
– Omni Outliner, and
Both are short instructional videos that will play back on 5th generation iPods, iPhones, or on your computer.
